K- Karma

Print
There was a man- wicked, vicious, jealous of others happiness. Whenever he saw something good happening with people, be it his neighbours or his relatives or any of his known persons, he was always the first one to come out and spoil the things. He was a sadist. And he loved being one. He enjoyed seeing others in misery. And yeah, he was a big time cheat as well. He played a lot of tricks in business and with the help of his good fortune then, he brought a lot of people on road.. made them homeless for the wrong they didn't do.

Time passed by, and he was old now. He was blessed to have a wonderful family. Lucky chap. Whenever he saw any of the families uniting or tying knot of their children, he was the first one to interrupt in between. He jumped, out of nowhere, to spread the news and rumours about both the families. He filled both of the family's ears with filth and lies. At times his tricks didn't work, but most of the times he succeeded in breaking them apart. He chose the road of treacherous paths, did all the villainous acts with his dirty schemes and games.

Soon enough, his grand-daughter got engaged. Everyone in the family was filled ecstasy. She was an educated, independent girl, and the guy with whom she was fixed seemed nice as well. Their marriage was a pompous affair. Everyone seemed happy. It was only two months of marriage, when she returned from her in-laws house to her parents house. She said she’s been cheated. All the promises that were made before the wedding were simply lies. And the guy, her husband, he too turned against her. They wanted her to stay at home, not go out, not meet anyone, not allowed to work, and do all household work. They had sent away all their servants. Obviously, she wasn’t happy. She was infuriated with all the events and everyone in the family. She decided to leave everything behind and come back to her parents. The old man and his family hid everything from the society as it’s a social stigma on the family’s name to have daughter back once married.

But, the truth came out one day. Everybody came to know. And everyone did understand the situation of the family. But, knowing the behaviour of the old man, all knew it was his karma, which brought all of this to his family. He had done the wildest of things when it came to others, but now, all of it happened with his family. The seeds that he had sown, it’s result his granddaughter had to reap.
Whatever happens, happens for a reason. It was good that the girl came out of the marriage and left the guy. Had she stayed with the family, it’s no big deal she would have committed suicide. But yes, the entire episode was a stigma to the family name in the eyes of the old man. And any ways, that’s what he did his entire life and now the same happened with him. He was shut inside the doors of his house, and kept silent.

I just hope he learns his lesson and repair the damage that he’s done all his life. It will take time and things will never be the same again, but that’s how he would be able to forgive himself.

Karma is like this only. Never be afraid of God, but be careful about your karma. It always comes back, no matter what.
Do you a story to share? Do you believe in karma? Do share.

  2. There's a natural law of karma that vindictive people, who go out of their way to hurt others, will end up broke and alone. Keep It up ..Good Wrote ..

  11. Oh I sure do believe in Karma... just wish it caught up with people a bit faster! Also, I wish it would directly deal with the people who hurt others, and not their family members.

  12. Karma is a bitch --- but only if you do bad things in the first place. I do believe in karma and that's what keeps me going when I see injustice in the world.
