Your World, my Way!

O let me take a bite. I have managed to snoop in. It’s been full five days my kids and me have felt a bite in our mouth! Oh Lord.. Mercy! What have we done wrong? Why do you make us starve? This gorgeous house, this scrumptious pie and this delectable wine, I can only sneak in and take some for my family! Is it my bad? Are you going to punish me? But my hands are only tied! This royal house wouldn’t even notice, what missed from their plate, but for me that will be the best thing I’d had in last few days! So what if it is by unfair means? It’s a cruel world! You made it so! I am only learning to survive.. don’t you think I should?
Of course you do, that is the reason why you created such instances! I know your game. You create such situations so that I can learn.. for myself and my family! I am only walking on the path you have set for me!

One Life.. One Love.. and it Got Away!

"So you got hooked up this Sunday?"

"Uumm... Yes!"

"And you didn't think for once about me? About us, eh?"

"I thought well enough! But like you said, if it looks fine, say a yes!"

"Is that, uh huh?"

"I kept warning you. I was alarming you from I don't even remember when! My parents were getting paranoid over this proposal. I gave you time. I asked you to give me an answer. But you chose to stay quiet, didn't you?"

"What could I say? It's your life and your decision!"

"What could I say?! Or you're kidding me? Or yourself?! You should simply have said you love me, that no matter what, no matter how long it'll take, but we're getting married! That you didn't want to let go of me! Just for once! And I would have stayed. It was this simple"

"Can't you say a No now? And call off the wedding? I've prepared it all. I'll talk to your parents, come what may! I've realised what blunder have I done. Allow me to mend it. Please"

"I'm sorry. I can't. Not at the risk of my parents reputation. Everyone knows now and I can't take a step back now!"

"I'll be ruined and so will you! Don't do this to us!"

"I'm sorry. I don't care. I asked you but you didn't bother"

Stay or Walk Away

You and me
Makes us we
Made for each other they say
Not a single clue I see
To everything they claim!

No sounds amongst the folks
No words when alone
No sharing of thoughts
No fun and laughter
Smiles seem to disappear,
The moment I come near.
What is it, I'm trying to figure
May be a hallucination or a reality I fear!

Sometimes I wonder, why I am with you
There's not a single thing that you want me to do for you
Experts say spending time, traveling to places makes things better.
What I experience is, the more we accompany each other,
The more we go to places,
Makes me realize,
what a hollow thing we follow!
Tiffs turn into fights
The frugal talk that we barely share
Vanishes all away!
The only time you want to come to me
Is when your body starts craving for its needs!
What should I do,
I don't understand
You don't like the way I talk,
You look with repugnance, the way I dress
You don't let me be
What should I call this,
Too much space or
Too little love?

What I say, never means anything to you
My value in your life, is just next to zero!
Should I walk away from all of this?
But you're a humble man they say!
Or should I let the situation be like this
Stay with you forever and die inside steady and slow!

I Apologize!

I know I am not visiting any of the blogs these days and I am more than guilty for it. All I do is, write a post in haste and put it up on my blog.! I don’t know what November is doing to me?! Oh no.. it’s not laziness this time, it’s work.. neck deep work! I am struggling to find ideas, scrambling between my work and blog and events and festivals at house, and relatives to top it all! If not for the NoMo challenge I took this month, I doubt I’d barely have blogged anything at all on my blog! Hardly, there is time left for me to indulge in the pleasure of reading.. Blogs! Yes.. blogs and not books! As much as I am hungering to read all of them, I am more than shamed with myself, for coming and leaving a link on the thread! O yes.. you can press charges against me for it!

With lots of things on the plate, I promise to be back and read what I’ve missed so far..

What are you up with you these days’ readers? I do read the comments :P .. would love to hear from you.

The Valiance Soul

All these years, when I was growing up
I was charmed at people said,
I always followed what elders spread,
And was gullible enough to believe what was said.

And then came a time
When I learned this hoax
What people say and what they do
Are the two extremes of the same shore

They preach of being liberal
And then they turn out to be hypocrites
They preach mankind
Where they are the ones elevating atrocity
They want to look the best in the eyes of the world
And then spifligate the facade they create for themselves.

And that is where I found books,
Hundreds and thousands of words
All collated, squalling to be read and understood
The black ink on the white
Dancing with pride
Finally getting a sight at them
Gleaming with happiness, just like a newly wedded bride!

Once I started reading them aloud
Practising with valour, protecting myself, making it my shroud
Folks started raising their eyes on me
Where on earth are you learning these thoughts?
I felt a bit unusual about it first,
Did I think anything wrong, I asked?
You’re changing and that too really fast,
What you’re learning in these, it won’t last!

I learned to listen to my voice
And picked up clues my soul kept giving
I admired my soul
For it gave me my life’s goal
The only thing that disquieted me
Were the blabbering mouths
Disturbing me to the core.

Ask the books that I read why I changed
Ask the authors dead and alive
who communicated with me
and gave me the courage to be myself.
It may sound like a fantasy to you
Where do get these thoughts, you ask?
It’s not real, it is fictitious
It will lead you nowhere,
It is so damn malicious!

All I say is, can you just stop being so judicious
The energy, the vibe, its essence is so vicious
It makes me ambitious
And my soul finds these thoughts so nutritious!

I am proud that I read
And gallant for the intellections I wear every single day
I may appear a buffoon to you, which is fine
But I can’t make a buffoon of myself,
Only to be labelled by you as wise and nice!

Watch out as I assent in life
For only that will close and shut your mouths
I don’t say anything to you now
For I want my actions to speak for my words!

Got an idea to explore them one day

Do you have any special technique

Cookie Meme

Just when I was scratching my head for what to write today post, I found Cookie Meme at Parul’s blog. And what an amazing exercise it looks, short and nice. And with too much things to handle at the same time, ideas are bound to go out of my reach :P
It looks like fun.. the rest, let’s find out:
  1. Are any of your friendships on a fine line? I don’t think so. Yes, busy schedules do take a toll sometimes, but then we do understand everyone’s situations.. that’s what friends do, right? Moreover, it’s all about how much you’re there when your friends need you the most, rather than yapping every other day and not being present when they count on you.
  2.   Have you ever witnessed a birth? Never.. and I am not game for it either!
  3. Where’s your favorite place to be when you feel depressed? I like being all by myself. Alone. May be with my phone, so that I can call someone close to my heart,or may be meet a dear friend.
  4. Are you currently looking forward to tomorrow? Yes, of course! The thought of Tomorrows always bring hope and happiness for the new day.
  5. When was the last time you held someone’s hand? Yesterday only! Though I was sitting behind A, in the car, and he was holding the head rest, and it was then when I held his hand! *blush blush*.
  6.  Have you ever faked sick? Yes.. of course! Who hasn't?
  7. Are you currently wearing jeans? Nope.  I'm home, and jeans, not for home.
  8.  Have you gone to a coffee shop within the past week? [i.e. Starbucks] Yes.. not to Starbucks though, but I did visit a coffee shop thrice last week! And it was bliss!
  9. Would you like to be able to read thoughts? Yes yes yes..  I'd love to! Imagine, finally being able to know the honest opinions and thoughts of people around you! It couldn't get any better!
  10. Do certain swear words just roll off your tongue? No.. I barely swear.
  11. Are you often the last one to understand a joke? No.. and I am so glad I am not! Sarcasm turns me on and who doesn't relish quirky jokes?
  12. Can experience be gained just by reading? No.. I think one really needs to jump into the situation and face, then only experience comes and one learns from it.
  13.  Does playing the guitar make a person more attractive? Yes.. People who play musical instruments (modern ones), I have a soft corner for them ;)
  14.  Have you ever slept in a tent, indoors or out? Again No.. But it's there on my wishlist.
  15. What does your hair look like at the moment? Haha.. Terrible! I'm having a bad hair day.
  16. Are you mad right now? No.. I am all good and happy!
  17. Who did you spend your summer with last year? My family. All the close family come to our place. It's all fun and frolic, happiness and food, and much more.
  18. Did you eat a cookie today? Not yet.. and now I get it why Cookie Meme.!
I think you should try this out. And don't forget to share with me!

Listen.. they're Talking!

Perching on my desk,
Brooding over these thoughts
Last night,
What I witnessed,
Was something perturbing me lots!

I rise in the morning
And witness these sights
Sight that lynched my neighbour next door,
Sight that celebrated my success to the core.
The enigmatic beauty
And the magnificent views
Impairs everything when I see
Rapes, murders, trafficking all over the news!

The first time,
When I saw a shooting star in the sky,
The first time,
I won my favourite game,
The first time,
When I fell in love,
And the first time,
I felt that steamy kiss,
All these first moments,
Kind of stirred my soul
Those spark in my eyes
And the élan to do more,
Nothing in the world
Can stop me from reaching the shore!

My eyes and yours
Talk a lot
I assure.
You hide so much from me
But they’re loyal,
And tell me all of it
The moment they see me!

They’re pure and clear
There are lies and there is fear
Anger when they learn the harsh truth
Hapless when they’re helpless
Happiness when love shines bright

Illuminates with joy when things go right!

Life On-Line

Life Online.. an interesting and intriguing prompt I must say. I am an extrovert. I make conversations easily with other others without having the fear of being judged. Making new friends is always a cherry on the cake for me, for my over the top yapping nature. But when it comes to online, I take time.. to open up.. May be I’m introvert online! Am I sounding stupid here, eh?
I really need to feel that bond or some connection to make a conversation with anyone, and be friends later may be. Sometimes, what I really wonder is how is it really possible? I mean I know the other person through their pictures and posts and write-ups. And you know what a sham world this social media is. Say a sentence, write anything, upload a picture and people have their quirky eyes on you. They are ready to label you and meticulously judge you for everything single thing.

On the contrary, I find it difficult to randomly start a chat with someone I barely know.. It may be weird I guess, and may be people assume me of not being friendly enough with them, but that is how it is with me. I don’t know how to cajole someone I barely know. Yeah, if I like something of someone, I appreciate them and I think we should value things that are worthy of it. But beyond that,
I really don’t know how to go about it.. Seriously! If you know, please teach me the art.. I am all ready to learn and listen..

How is it with you? Are you an introvert or extrovert? And how does it is when online?

I really want to know.

Writing Ritual.. not for Me!

O no! Strictly no ritual. It’s simply random. When there is a writing challenge, then my writing juices flow, and get a kickstart.. Or whenever any incident has triggered me a lot and left an effect deep down, writing is the only escape I have to keep my sanity alive. Sometimes, there are people who really annoy us in ways we never imagine, writing a blogpost or probably an article does wonders (I know I’m sliding towards the demons side now :P). The routine itself isn’t fixed, then how can writing be?
That's what I do!
You tell me, do you have a fixed routine? If yes, then how are you able to maintain consistency with it?

P.S- I’m really running out of time, hence such a short write up.. I know, I know, you’re glad.. but not more than me :P ;)

Happiness is.. Being Special!

This week’s WOW’s prompt kind of tinkled something inside me. Something had been on my mind over a period of time and after reading the it, I realized, this was it.. this was what I wanted.. And nothing can be better than a self-appraisal therapy and writing it all out is like a cherry on the cake!
All of us have our families, friends, a social circle, a few nosy relatives, and our all time favourite cousins. Amongst them, we spend most of our time with the ones we’re close. We want to do everything for them, we want to give them all the happiness in the world, we want to mollycoddle them like no other, and have the best intentions for them. And like I said, we are social animals, we need to keep ourselves in contact with someone or the other, online or offline doesn’t matter.

By doing all of this, sometimes, inadvertently, we hurt the ones we love the most, may be by being close with someone else, our friends or spouse may not like.. but hey, we’re free, right? It’s a free country for that matter, and we can bond with anyone we like.. who knows what magic the other may do to us?!

And while we enjoy the power of magic on us, our better-half or friend is already half-burnt, envying the new duo we’ve formed.. and that’s sometimes sad, isn’t it?
But hey, I think I’m deviated from the topic. What makes me so special? Or what is it in me that defines me and makes me unique? I think it wants me to do some thinking..

I am special because, there is no other Geet- the rhythm of love. Because what I do for people I love, can’t be explained.. Their happiness, a simple smile on their face means the world to me and to do that, I don’t mind crossing the borders, breaking the boundaries, going beyond my potential and do things that even I am not aware of! It helps me unleash this potent power of love that makes me do things beyond horizons. People sometimes label the fact that I love drama, and it may be drama for them, but not for me! For doing things extra-ordinarily, I don’t mind doing this drama.

Be it spending sleepless nights, to complete my first ever website for my sister as her birthday gift, or to make a giant scrapbook for my parents, collating all their memories together, saving ounce of money only to make their day special, making a documentary for them overnight, or getting specially up in the morning at 6 for writing a poem for my MIL and FIL, coz something had come up and it had to be given by 8. Opening my half sleepy eyes, and succumbing my thoughts to co-ordinate with my brain, decorating the floor for them, coz I’ll be gone all day and so I want their mornings to be perfect, or decorating the room for my love to make our Valentines special and baking a cake for him (well yeah, I’m not much of a baker or a cooking person, so it means a lot), or filling pages in the card for my friends because I know it means the world to them, or paying a surprise visit to my parents’ just to see that spark in their eyes, and thanking my teachers with gratitude for what they have done for me and always keeping them in my prayers.

Below is the documentary I gifted them on their 25th Anniversary
I am special because I learn from everyone around me, regardless of their age. It is all about the good qualities and the state of art that I can always seek and encourage the same. I always look for the best in people and focus on their good sans considering any bad. I feel everybody around us has the capacity to teach us something good and that is what I really look forward to! Positivity is the key here.

I am special because I am extremely understanding. Sometimes, people do play with this, but mostly this quality has always helped me maintain good long term relations. I feel everybody have a choice for doing things they like, and it’s their life after all, and understanding plays a huge role. Being empathetic and a compassionate human being has always helped me earn respect.

I am special because I am a total mess and a masque as well. I can talk non-stop without causing a headache and make people laugh out loud. I am a very happy go lucky person, and encourage humour around me. You see, I’ve got the gift of gab.. and I promise, you will never get bored in my company.
Whenever it’s someone’s birthday, I totally go nuts over it..! All I aim is to make that person feel on the top of the world, that they are very special to us, that they have done so much for us, that had they been not there, God knows how I would Me? For all of them have their roles in shaping me as a

I have always been on the good adjusting side, bringing ease with which work can be done, for only that matters to me.

And the infectious energy that I have automatically sets the aura around high! Full of zeal, full of life.. and boy! My swag and the heart of gold that I possess, it drives people crazy for me.

Because I can’t see my folk’s face gloomy, and I do everything to cheer them up and brighten their luminous smiles!

My modesty and this thing in to me stay grounded has always maintained my spirits high. You see, staying on the ground and aiming for the sky! I appreciate simplicity and believe in generosity!

I think that enough of me. How about you? What makes you special? What is the best thing that you love the most about yourself? I am listening..

Tear.. why you Come?

Tears.. I think they’re any woman’s best friend! Don’t you think? Okay.. not best friends.. but close friends probably.. and of men too, I guess.

Some years back I was a perfect combo of sensitivity and emotional being! I still am.. but then, those years back, it was a deadly combo.. and it really taught me lot. I fell so many times, learned so many things by falling! I used to be an emotional fool.. yes.. I can’t stand anyone in pain.. and was affected by their sufferings way too much, which automatically made me the scapegoat of everything around! I cried and cried and cried! Just a simple thing to nudge and I was in their trap! They pricked me, and touched all the sensitive areas and I was ready to welcome the pain with open arms!

But things changed eventually, when I had good friends and teachers.. May be the impact my teachers is so much that I want to give the same thing to my students. My teachers helped me look through the things, observe beyond what is shown and judge accordingly!

I’m not saying that I have reached perfection in this, but I am much better than how I used to be. Too transparent, too honest, and too gullible and trusted everybody in an iffy! And that is where it started affecting me. Now, I’m good!

But that doesn’t mean, I don’t cry. Of course I cry.. who doesn’t? I cry sometimes watching an emotional movie (last time it happened when I saw Margarita with a Straw, where Kalki’s mother, Revti, dies) and I just couldn’t stop my tears rolling down my cheeks.. oops, sorry for the spoilers who’ve not seen the movie yet.. But yeah.. go ahead and watch it.. It’s a brilliant composition! Period.

Okay and you cry, and you don't find anybody around to hear your whining and crying, you end up crying even more!! Isn't this true? ;) :P

Tears come in my eyes, when something really pricks my heart, when someone says something that I had never thought in my dreams, and when those abrasive words go in my ears, I can’t stand them. How could you even think of saying such stuff? is what comes to my head! Or if I feel I’m being cheated on.. or maybe when I learn truths about people.. when they please on my face, and cook stories behind my back.. I just loathe this thing to the core. Nobody wants sycophants, at least I don’t.. Everybody loves compliments- but genuine ones.. And if you don’t feel it genuinely then don’t give. Simple. Nobody is begging for them. But talking behind one’s back and continuing the hypocrisy.. it pisses me off.. No if’s, no buts then.. If I learn about it, that person stands nowhere in my eyes.. And I don’t even want to keep any link with them!
What else does brings tears to my eyes? I sometimes go to bed crying.. sometimes I think beyond what is required and become sad..

Every tear has a story, and they say one should not go to bed sad or crying.. But if you ask me, it's quite good.. not that you should go to bed crying, but when thoughts encircle your head a bit too much, mantra is to Stop Thinking and Start Sleeping! And it works! Sometimes getting a sleep at night, wakes you up fresh in the morning, forgetting about all the dilemmas you had last night! And there you are, all happy and chirpy!
Sometimes, I think, what if I die one day, all of a sudden, what will happen when I won’t be around, and then I think of the people who love me so much and how much they’re going to miss me and cry on my deathbed and welcome the tears whole heartedly! So technically, I think of my death and start crying myself for myself..!! Well I can't cry then, so I cry now! Heights of stupidity I guess.. I mean who does that?
But I really really dread the day of losing someone close to me.. so no more discussion on it.

Well sometimes it’s good to let your heart out.. it can be via talking or crying.. anything that suits a person, but the frustration inside has to come out, no matter what! Plus, it cleans the eye?! Okay, I know, I’m talking non-sense now.

How about you? Do you cry often? What makes you cry? Or am I the only weirdo who cries that often? Tell me your stories and I’m ready to listen
